Front page Population Projection for Future Development in Äänekoski Population Projection for Future Development in Äänekoski Date: 1.9. –31.10.2024 Information Services and Data Analysis MDI provided a population projection for the City of Äänekoski covering the period 2024—2040. The project included multiple scenarios based on Äänekoski’s demographic structure and future development paths. The work began with an analysis of past population trends and influencing factors. Based on this, 24 scenarios were developed, considering migration, birth rates and potential investments. The result was age-group and area-specific data that supports long-term planning and the forecasting of service needs for the city. Keywords: Population and migration
