Front page News News Urban policy roadmap updated Urban policy roadmap updated 18.1.2017 Urbanization continues at the same time as a national urban policy remains conspicuous by its absence. MDI’s urban policy road maps have contributed to the major cities infrastructure investments. The role of small and medium-sized cities is however murky. Our III policy roadmap will raise the potential of small towns into discussion. The focus is on the urban vitality. At the same time, a new agenda of the regional government and national urban policy is created. The participants are cities of Forssa, Heinola, Järvenpää, Kokkola, Riihimäki and Uusikaupunki. The work is funded by the cities alongside with Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries RT, Builders Union, Building Information Foundation RTS, Finnish Association of Consulting Firms SKOL and Hypo Bank. Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
