Front page News News Urban policy roadmap updated Urban policy roadmap updated 18.1.2017 Urbanization continues at the same time as a national urban policy remains conspicuous by its absence. MDI’s urban policy road maps have contributed to the major cities infrastructure investments. The role of small and medium-sized cities is however murky. Our III policy roadmap will raise the potential of small towns into discussion. The focus is on the urban vitality. At the same time, a new agenda of the regional government and national urban policy is created. The participants are cities of Forssa, Heinola, Järvenpää, Kokkola, Riihimäki and Uusikaupunki. The work is funded by the cities alongside with Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries RT, Builders Union, Building Information Foundation RTS, Finnish Association of Consulting Firms SKOL and Hypo Bank. MDI leads the co-creative process of developing, piloting and sharing practices for wellbeing in Sustainable Cities News 12.10.2022 The challenge bundle work is the cross-cutting co-development of the “Sustainable City” programme, co-ordinated by the Ministry of the Environment, with the aim of producing and sharing information, knowledge and solutions to the challenges linking cities’ management and practice in the area of leading work towards sustainability. The work produces concrete development measures, new ways of doing things and peer learning.
