Front page News News Sastamala – from friction to vitality Sastamala – from friction to vitality 22.3.2017 Sastamala tries to turn the on-going structural changes and challenges from friction to regional vitality. The work includes a total of six different tasks: the intensification of cooperation with the business sector and the third sector; producing vitality services together with other actors, as well as experimentation of different methods in producing service; the development of the city leadership in the new situation; review and development of the public service processes; the development of family services, as well as the development of tools for monitoring regional vitality development. Almost everyone from MDI’s two offices and a bunch of advisors are involved in this work, as well as Jouko Luukkonen from LGR-Consulting Ltd. The work will continue until the end of 2018. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
