Workshop on the areas of the Pearl programme

The Pearl Habitat Programme 2021-2030 strengthens Finland’s natural diversity and safeguards the vital ecosystem services provided by nature. In addition, climate change is curbed and adaptation to it facilitated. The Helmi programme tackles the biggest direct cause of impoverishment in respect of Finland’s nature: the reduction of habitats and the deterioration of quality. The programme’s activities help hundreds of endangered species and a large part of our country’s endangered natural habitats.

MDI facilitated a workshop where the premises and criteria for establishing Pearl regions were presented. The workshop was carried out on October 5, 2022 using the Zoom application.
