Front page References The migration analysis of the city of Kokkola The migration analysis of the city of Kokkola Date: 1.8-31.8.2021 Information Services and Data Analysis The project examined the role of Kokkola in internal migration in the late 2010s and during 2020. The analysis, for example, examined the age structure of migrants, their ultimate destinations and the areas from which migrants move to Kokkola. The result provides an accurate picture of Kokkola’s migration, as well as the city’s traction and holding power. The analysis shows the diversity of the structure of migration in the city and emphasises the importance of a more detailed examination of the structure of migration in order to outline the overall picture.
