Front page Study of labour and skills needs in Kainuu Study of labour and skills needs in Kainuu Date: 1.1. –1.5.2023 Information Services and Data Analysis Research, studies MDI acted as a subcontractor to FCG for this study for the Regional Counsil of Kainuu. The project studied future skills and labour needs as well as retirement-related issues in region and in the municipalities of the region. The aim of the work was to model and identify the challenges of meeting the needs of the region and the municipalities in the region by sector, taking into account differences in the educational structure and the employer sector (public – private). In particular, MDI was responsible for the analysis of the future demographic development in Kainuu and its impact on the future labour force development in the region and in the municipalities of the region.
