Front page References Sparring of local cooperation Sparring of local cooperation Date: 1.8. –30.9.2015 Strategies and programmes In September and October 2015 MDI studied the regional cooperation model of Kemijärvi, Salla, Savukoski and Pelkosenniemi municipalities. MDI studied how the regional cooperation could be executed in a more flexible and economical way. The options are further developing the current organisational model, a registrated association, company model or functioning without a separate organisation, for example as a cooperation group of municipal leaders. The work took into account special circumstances and future possibilities and arising needs for cooperation in Eastern Lapland. Keywords: Networks Rural
