Sastamala – from friction to vitality

Sastamala tries to turn the on-going structural changes and challenges from friction to regional vitality. The work includes a total of six different tasks: the intensification of cooperation with the business sector and the third sector; producing vitality services together with other actors, as well as experimentation of different methods in producing service; the development of the city leadership in the new situation; review and development of the public service processes; the development of family services, as well as the development of tools for monitoring regional vitality development. Almost everyone from MDI’s two offices and a bunch of advisors are involved in this work, as well as Jouko Luukkonen from LGR-Consulting Ltd. The work will continue until the end of 2018. The client is the city of Sastamala and funding comes from the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (Tekes).
