Front page Preparation of a Project Plan for Stakeholder Engagement in the Restoration Plan Preparation of a Project Plan for Stakeholder Engagement in the Restoration Plan Date: 2.1. –28.2.2025 Strategies and programmes A national restoration plan will be developed to implement the Restoration Regulation, defining the means to achieve its objectives. The national restoration plan is expected to be completed within two years of the regulation’s entry into force. Finland has until August 2026 to prepare its restoration plan for submission to the European Commission. MDI assisted key officials from the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in planning stakeholder engagement at various stages of the preparation process for the national restoration plan. The preparation is carried out within five thematic groups. The stakeholder engagement project plan focused on the overall restoration plan and provided thematic groups with tools and methods for identifying and engaging their stakeholders.
