Front page References Porkkala – Municipality of the future Porkkala – Municipality of the future Date: 15.3.2015 Research, studies MDI took part in ventilating thoughts around the ”Municipality of the future”, making a case of Porkkala city. The municipal level needs revolution – new thinking, experiments and ways of acting. It is time to get rid of the thought of one model for a municipality. We have to find various solutions around Finland – different models for in different regions. Municipalities of Inkoo, Kirkkonummi and Siuntio make a great platform for experimenting around ”Municipality of the future” and around the framework region solutions around metropolis. The founding fathers of the idea have beer professor Heikki A. Reenpää, Kaj-Gustaf Bergh and Antti Herlin. The idea was published at Reenpää’s estate Loviselund in 11th June 2015.
