Front page Kokkolan strategian facelift Kokkolan strategian facelift Date: 15.11-2019-31.1.2020 Strategies and programmes Workshops, webinars, lectures, camps MDI helped the City of Kokkola in 2017 with its strategy. A mid-term review will look into how the strategy was implemented. At least two things have been highlighted during the early part of the council period: the incurring of debt and climate change. Climate change should, it was recommended, be embedded in all measures of the strategy, i.e. the impact of different measures on climate change and the environment must be assessed. In addition, ideas were developed for profile openings and for the implementation of a “to-do” (small step development) policy. More comprehensive measures were also worked on to reduce debt, but not at the expense of development. In addition, the workshop also focused on other identified themes, such as digitalisation.
