Front page Ikaalinen Climate Action Plan Ikaalinen Climate Action Plan Date: 12.10.2023 –31.10.2024 Strategies and programmes MDI and FCG experts developed a climate action plan for Ikaalinen that complies with national climate legislation requirements. The plan included a background analysis, emission reduction goals, current emission assessments, scenarios and measures to reduce emissions. Ikaalinen’s climate action plan also incorporated an evaluation of the municipality’s carbon sinks and stocks, along with adaptation measures for climate change. Tools for monitoring and communicating the municipality’s climate efforts were also defined. The plan was tailored to meet the municipality’s specific needs. Participatory methods were employed in the plan. Additionally, the client had the opportunity to participate in peer learning events with other municipalities.
