Espoo Vitality result area’s sparring about network development

According to the Espoo story, Espoo wants to be Finland’s best integrator. In Elinvoima’s result units, work is carried out in accordance with this goal in various networks in accordance with the Espoo network management principles and operating methods guide. There is a need in Espoo to gather information about the networks and make the networks visible.

In the work, network mapping and background analysis of documented material regarding the networks of integration was carried out. The implementation was done in Screenio as an electronic survey, where networks were mapped and themes connecting the different actors of the result units were raked. In addition, supplementary interviews were conducted.

The management team of the Vitality result area gathered together in November to work on network-like development. MDI facilitated an event where examples, lessons learned and experiences from network work were reviewed. At the event, common operating methods were formulated, the goals of the network work were defined, and ideas regarding monitoring and metrics were devised. MDI prepared a report from the work material and suggestions for the next steps.
