Front page News News Population growth scenarios of Tampere Population growth scenarios of Tampere 1.6.2018 The city strategy unit in Tampere has defined population scenarios for population growth by 2030 in cooperation with the city’s policy makers. The city has made three different population growth scenarios. Growth scenarios have been created in accordance with three alternative development progressions, which are moderate growth, strategic growth and widespread growth. MDI compiled city-level age-specific population growth scenarios as a background information for these scenarios. Subsequently, scenario-based impacts were studied, focusing on the economy, real estate investments and basic improvements in premises as well as the amount of housing needed.
