Front page News News Population forecast for region of South Ostrobotnia Population forecast for region of South Ostrobotnia 15.4.2019 MDI calculated a specific population forecast for the region of South Ostrobotnia based on the forecast model designed in February 2019. In addition, a general overview of the expected prognosis on a municipal level was produced. In the regional forecast, the three basic elements of the population were considered: natural population growth, migration, and immigration. Regional forecast also includes three alternative scenarios. In municipal forecasts, the future progress was outlined based on three basic elements and in three critical age groups.
