MDI supports the preparation of the immigration programme for South Ostrobothnia. 10.11.2021 Municipalities and regions have begun to draw up immigration programmes that take into account employment- and education-based immigration. In order to secure migration and the availability of a skilled labour force, the Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia is preparing a South Ostrobothnia Regional Immigration Programme in cooperation with actors in the region. MDI will support the preparatory work for the programme between November 2021 and June 2022. The work is divided into background research and facilitation, where the content of the programme is formulated interactively together with key stakeholders. The analysis of the operating environment and needs provides a regional profile of the migration situation and the structure of immigrants in South Ostrobothnia based on the latest statistical data, while, in addition, gathering the views of key actors in the region on the main objectives, impacts and results of the migration programme.
