Front page News News MDI roasts Seinäjoki’s strategy MDI roasts Seinäjoki’s strategy 1.7.2015 The city of Seinäjoki is getting prepared to draft a new city strategy that outlines new duties and tasks for the city and also pursues for renewal in every sector. As the present period for city council ends in spring 2017, the first task for the new city council is to update the city strategy. At the moment, the premises for updating the strategy are exceptional: the tasks and duties of cities are likely change dramatically due to structural changes in social and health services and also prolonged economic difficulties in the public sector in general. MDI welcomes the opportunity of sparring the city of Seinäjoki in the preparation of city strategy during autumn 2015 and spring 2016. MDI and its’ experts will roast Seinäjoki towards novel thinking and creative solutions and also for pushing the city off the comfort zone. Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
