The current Finnish Government has set an ambitious goal for a carbon-neutral Finland by 2035 and for example, more and more enterprises see regulations on emissions and biodiversity as a factor in competitiveness. MDI is carrying out a study tasked with encouraging cities and municipalities in respect of their climate change and circular economy measures together with Tyrsky Consulting Oy and Valonia. The report is commissioned by the Ministry of the Environment. The aim of the study is to outline what new instruments could add value to promote both national climate policy and circular economy objectives and also the climate and circular economy actions of cities and municipalities. MDI leads the co-creative process of developing, piloting and sharing practices for wellbeing in Sustainable Cities News 12.10.2022 The challenge bundle work is the cross-cutting co-development of the “Sustainable City” programme, co-ordinated by the Ministry of the Environment, with the aim of producing and sharing information, knowledge and solutions to the challenges linking cities’ management and practice in the area of leading work towards sustainability. The work produces concrete development measures, new ways of doing things and peer learning.
