Internationalisation strategy for Heinola region

Heinola region is popular among Finnish tourists, but the number of international visitors remains relatively low. To increase the number of international visitors, MDI created a handbook of internationalisation for Heinola region. The handbook was created in co-operation with local welfare and tourism companies. It defines directions and strategy for internationalisation and traveller profiles. Implementing the strategy is up to team formed by the local companies and led by its captains such as Vierumäki Country Club Ltd.
