Innovation centres of the metropolitan region emerging in September

MDI sped up the preparation of innovation centre policy in the metropolitan region by the order of Culminatum Innovation Ltd. The work included more than 40 personal interviews, an electronic survey to 400 respondents, and an analysis of approximately 40 central development strategies and programmes. The work was carried out within a month. The crystallisation and MDI’s preliminary proposal for innovation centres served as a kick start for the preparation process of the Innovative cities -programme (INKA) in the metropolitan region. During October-November, the key stakeholders will make a decision on which innovation centres will move forward in the preparation for the period of 2014–2020. The metropolitan region will submit an application to INKA-programme in April 2013.
