Front page News News Support to small and medium-sized cities Support to small and medium-sized cities 10.5.2013 One million Finns live in approximately 50 small and medium sized cities, which are 2nd or 3rd tier cities in their respective regions. Development of these cities is vital for regional development, as these cities are important service centres and potential local growth motors. Ministry of Employment and the Economy is launching a pilot programme to develop these small and medium sized cities.
