Front page News News MDI Launches Development of Railway Corridor in Lahti Region MDI Launches Development of Railway Corridor in Lahti Region 5.11.2014 The railway corridor in Lahti region has been pointed out as one of the most important investment targets in the Growth Pact and in the Innovative Cities programme (INKA) of Lahti region. The corridor between the city of Lahti and the municipality of Nastola forms a belt-like urban area, which is to be developed as a whole from the perspective of housing, entrepreneurship, mobility and construction. MDI will conduct two intensive workshops, which will give a launch for drawing road map for the future of the corridor. MDI implements the process in cooperation with Professor Ari Hynynen from Tampere University of Technology, School of Architecture and Head of Research Jari Kolehmainen from the University of Tampere, School of Management.
