Front page News News MDI to collect information on Finnish development programmes to Tillväxtanalys in Sweden MDI to collect information on Finnish development programmes to Tillväxtanalys in Sweden 25.3.2013 Sweden is actively following the development scene in Finland. MDI collects the basic information on the national development programmes of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy by the order of Tillväxtanalys, organisation responsible for the growth policy in Sweden. Special interest in Sweden focuses on the cohesion and competitiveness programme, COCO, recently annulled in Finland. In addition, MDI gathers information on the Innovative Cities programme INKA and on the contract-based growth policy between the state and biggest cities. Sweden is interested in learning from the Finnish experiences of developing smaller and mid-size towns. The analysis will be carried out within the next few weeks. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
