Gathering information about national programmatic development

The Nordic countries follow actively what happens in the field of Finnish regional development. In spring 2013 MDI gathered the basic information about the national programs of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy for the Swedish Institute for growth policy (Tillväxtanalys) and the Norwegian Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development (KRD). The neighbouring countries were especially interested in the discontinued COCO (Cohesion and Competitiveness) Program. In addition to COCO, MDI collected information about the Innovative Cities Program (INKA) and Growth Policy. Sweden and Norway were interested in the contents and implementation of programmatic development work.
