Front page News News MDI supports Oulu in applying for the status of European Capital of Culture MDI supports Oulu in applying for the status of European Capital of Culture 25.1.2021 The city of Oulu is applying for the status of European Capital of Culture for 2026. This is the most important cultural initiative of the European Union. Oulu has been selected for the second round to compete for the status of Capital of Culture together with Tampere and Savonlinna. MDI was responsible for translating the application, editing the text and checking the correctness of the application, as well as ensuring that the final application met all the selection criteria set for the European Capital of Culture. MDI leads the co-creative process of developing, piloting and sharing practices for wellbeing in Sustainable Cities News 12.10.2022 The challenge bundle work is the cross-cutting co-development of the “Sustainable City” programme, co-ordinated by the Ministry of the Environment, with the aim of producing and sharing information, knowledge and solutions to the challenges linking cities’ management and practice in the area of leading work towards sustainability. The work produces concrete development measures, new ways of doing things and peer learning.
