Front page News News MDI evaluates the effectiveness and impacts of state subsidies in film production MDI evaluates the effectiveness and impacts of state subsidies in film production 15.2.2018 MDI has launched an evaluation research in the end of 2017 by the order of Ministry of Education and Culture. The evaluation focuses on finding out the effectiveness and impacts of state subsidies directed to national film production and independent TV production. The evaluation clarifies the overall understanding of the economic status of film industry in Finland. State subsidies play an essential role in the total funding in the film production. In the state budget for 2017, a total of 25 M€ was reserved to support national film industry. The evaluation results are due in mid-April 2018.
