MDI conducts impact evaluation of scheduled interviews for the unemployed

Since the beginning of 2017, all the unemployed job-seekers have been interviewed every three months by the state employment services. This is one of the activities in Prime Minister Sipilä’s governmental programme to improve employment situation and support employment. MDI leads a research consortium that has been appointed to conduct an impact evaluation of the scheduled interviews for the unemployed. The evaluation seeks to provide research-based evidence to further improve the functionality and competitiveness of employment services and also to strengthen the supply of work. The evaluation is carried out as a part of Government’s Analysis, Assessment and Research activities and results are expected by the end of 2018. MDI co-operates in the evaluation with TK-Eval, Melkior, Arnkil Dialogues and Mikko Kesä.
