Front page News News MDI compiles the regional database of culture MDI compiles the regional database of culture 14.12.2017 The on-going administrative changes and the effective implementation of policy measures require a strong and accurate knowledge base and a snapshot of the development of the regions. Regional data is needed in the implementation of the Cultural Policy Strategy 2025 and in the development of regional guidelines for art and culture. Information is also needed in the turbulence of the regional reform. The exploration of the development of the regional database on culture maps the main sources of information as well as the shortcomings in data sources to compile a regional database of culture. Through two sample areas, the work will create a model of what data and indicators are needed and how they should be presented in order to create a comprehensive picture of the importance and impact of culture in the regions. MDI’s partner at work is the Art University. The work will be completed in August 2018 and is commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
