After my long career as member of parliament and Minister of Social Services I am now a full-time non-fiction writer and professional lecturer. I am focused especially on urban planning and development and nowadays I act, among other things, as vice-president of the Helsinki City Planning Committee. I am an active urban policy opinion leader: my columns in the Suomen Kuvalehti magazine often address urban development issues.
