With the regional reform and the redefinition of vitality tasks of municipalities, and the long-term changes in the EU regional development, development companies have to clarify their core tasks and role in the field of regional development. The traditional three tasks have been the sparring and development of enterprises, the development of regional development project portfolio, and regional marketing. Now, all regional development companies have to clarify their own mission and tasks. MDI has the pleasure to spar several development companies during the summer and autumn. One of the worksites is the sprarring of the Mikkeli development company Miksei in three discussion sessions during the summer. The work will be completed by mid-August. Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
