Future knowledge management

Prime minister’s Office

MDI is playing a part in the government project which will determine the goals for future knowledge management for the Finnish regions. The project was also used to evaluate preparations for the prospective 18 new provinces that were to be created under the regional reform. In this particular project, knowledge management is divided into three different entities; 1) content goals (what information is being gathered) 2) technological goals (how information is being gathered, transferred and combined) and finally 3) management goals (how gathered and analysed information is being used in regional management). The project was finalised in May 2019. NHG Consulting Oy led the project in consortium with MDI, the University of Helsinki and the Technical University of Tampere.
