MDI updated the Regional Development Plan, for the Regional Council of Lapland, shaping the development strategy up to 2040. The update studied the effects of central megatrends, factors of uncertainty and changes in values for the vision chosen by Lapland and for the development alignments. The update paid special attention to the competitiveness of business and industry, k’nowhow’ in the region and the service structure related to wellbeing.
