The evaluation of support services for entrepreneurs project

MDI participated in aninternational consortium as the Finnish representative. The consortium aims to identify support instruments and services for would-be- and start-up-entrepreneurs in EU member states. On the basis of a comprehensive survey, the consortium has chosen two support instruments from Finland, for which more accurate case descriptions are made. These selected support instruments are Tampere Entrepreneurship Agency “Ensimetri” and the student-run Entrepreneurial Society “Boost Turku”. The case-study aims to pay particular attention to the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and scalability of these support services and their instruments. The results of the work will be delivered to the EASME (Executive Agency for SMEs) and the European Commission, and will be used to apply best practices to policy formulation.
