The City of Hämeenlinna and Growth Corridor Finland took part in an international project on the North Sea Baltic Core Network Corridor, which aimed at developing solutions for smart mobility and travel chains in the Baltic Sea Region. MDI took part in the process by producing a policy paper on smart mobility concepts and service development in urban nodes for the European Commission and national decision-makers. MDI’s work began by analysing the broad background material, conducting a few expert interviews and organising two intensive innovation labs, gathering together all rof the elevant stakeholders. The first Innovation Lab was organised in June 2018 in Hämeenlinna, Finland and the second in Warsaw, Poland ,in September 2018. The policy paper was finalised in November 2018.
