The Finnish Rural Network Support Unit organised an international innovation camp, 26th – 29th June 2017, in Jyväskylä region. MDI was responsible for facilitating and organising the camp which brings together rural developers and representatives of the rural networks of the EU Member States (ENRD). The camp continued the work initiated in 2016 at the Cork 2.0 conference where measures to respond to the future challenges of rural regions’ and agriculture were defined. The objective was to brainstorm and develop concrete measures and experiments related to the themes defined at the Cork 2.0 Conference and the subsequent Declaration. The idea was to introduce the innovation camp concept and method to the representatives of the European Network for Rural Development.
