City of Seinäjoki wanted their strategy be a strategy of renewal and news tasks. When the current city council period ends in Spring 2017, the task of the new city council is to renew the city strategy. The starting point for renewing is exceptional: the duties of the municipalities will change drastically due to the decision and restructuring of social and health care sector and the economical downturn of the public sector. MDI sparred the preparation of the new strategy in Autumn 2015 and Spring 2016 with its expert team. The aim was to challenge the city with new ways of thinking, creative solutions and courage to step out of the box. With six blogs and three roasting sessions MDI drew a pamphlet “Seinäjoki Roasted – 8 hot coals to lighten up the vitality”.
