Front page News News MDI published the results of the national municipality survey MDI published the results of the national municipality survey 19.12.2017 Municipalities regard the future development prospects as positive despite of a credibility gap between the officials and the regional government, health and social services reform weakening the development prospects In October 2017, MDI conducted for the third time a national municipality survey, with which opinions were collected from the policy-makers and senior officials of municipalities regarding their views of future municipalities. All officials, councillors and board members of the municipalities (295 total) of Mainland Finland were targeted by the municipality survey. The survey was sent to a total of 10 871 people, from which 2 890 responded regarding 289 municipalities. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
