Front page News News MDI Defines Lahti Region’s Competitiveness MDI Defines Lahti Region’s Competitiveness 9.6.2015 MDI will analyze Lahti Region’s competitiveness. On the one hand, the work will be based on a statistical analysis which will mostly be conducted by Dr. Timo Aro, one of Finland’s most recognized analysts and MDI’s new Regional Policy Advisor. On the other hand, Lahti Region’s strategies for tackling structural changes will be analyzed with a more qualitative approach. The findings will be benchmarked against the urban regions of Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Joensuu, Pori, Helsinki, Hämeenlinna and Tampere.
