We, at MDI, do not believe in melancholy or in negative mumbling. Therefore MDI organised a think tank in the end of March to tackle the issues of regional development. Professor pair Perttu Vartiainen and Sami Moisio teased the discussion with their presentations, and a group of 25 active thinkers came up with concrete measures for giving regional development a well-deserved uplift in the near future. Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
