Front page News News Storytelling in Karelian countryside Storytelling in Karelian countryside 12.3.2014 About twenty North-Karelian experts sought stories about the regional impact of JOSEK (Joensuu Regional Development Company) in Mekrijärvi. The stories were put together through collective remembering in a 24-hour storytelling camp organised at the eastern most university unit in EU, the Mekrijärvi Research Station of the University of Eastern Finland. The stories started bubbling from setting up JOSEK in 2001 following three main streams of JOSEK’s operations: regional development, business development, and regional marketing.
