Front page News News MDI takes part in designing the future of the larger metropolitan region MDI takes part in designing the future of the larger metropolitan region 10.9.2012 MDI is responsible for organising six future-oriented workshops in the larger metropolitan region of Helsinki-Uusimaa, Päijät-Häme and Häme regions. MDI was appointed by the Uusimaa Regional Council. The main objectives for the workshop process include describing the common future of the three regions, identifying common development topics and themes, producing insights on joint possibilities and also opening paths for closer co-operation in the future between the regions. The work utilises scorecards that are further worked on in each workshop. Scorecards are also provided in the blog www.etelasuomentulevaisuus.net (in Finnish). Multi-functional development of station areas News 28.11.2023 In the early autumn period, MDI and FCG worked on the development of the Asemanseutu project which is part of the project package – Vitality for Urban Regions. The work undertaken clarified the basic models for the multi-functional development of station areas, as well as providing recommendations for their development and financing.
